I am certain that someone wants to store all of the G4 network, but could not this be done on some other format? I bet they have the cash to send you a couple of drives evey day and you could save some bandwidth for the interweb.

The current page has;
34 G4 postings
6 Seatle Come-onitys
4 Ways to the religion of choice
and a home movie wedged in.

Perhaps I am accessing Community Video in an incorrect manner. There are dozens of pages of G4TV videos to click through at the "All items (most recently added first) –" page.
Is there a way to filter these files out of the list? I do not want to remove the possibly valuable content, but nowadays I can hardly find my favorite Jihad videos and escort services because of them. And it looks like this has caused Appliance Servicie to give up entirely.
As I asked earlier, could they not just send a DVD or drive full of there shows every once in a while?

It's the button on the "Moving Image Archive"
marked "All items (most recently added first) -".

Thanks for looking.

Sorry this is taking so much of your time. By following my own directions below I see the reason you get different results than I do. The links seem to drop some characters. When I follow my own link I also do not get the hundreds of G4TV results.

Please try this as it is a bit interesting;

Open http://archive.org/ in a new browser window.

Click on 'Video' on the left of the screen under "Announcements"

This takes you to http://archive.org/details/movies

On that screen in the center, click on "All items (most recently added first'
This takes you to http://archive.org/search.php?query=mediatype%3Amovies&;sort=-publicdate
This shows all the G$TVfiles n with the rest of the files.

There is a semi-colon placed in the forum post copied link that clears out the G4TV and displays slightly different results for othere files. This is why you were not seeing the same things as I was.

The addresses below are different.

http://archive.org/search.php?query=mediatype%3Amovies&;sort=-publicdate&page=1

http://archive.org/search.php?query=mediatype%3Amovies&;;sort=-publicdate&page=1

Thanks for your patience MrK. I can manually add the ; and you may know why this works.

(EDIT)
And I now see two semi-colons in the links added to this post. I will not test it but perhaps each paste adds another. Bug or Feature?

after a bit of discussion it was decided that while they dominate the basic search query for mediatype=movies they are legitimately "just in". so the course i might suggest is a query that would not include them such as:
https://archive.org/search.php?query=mediatype:movies%20AND%20NOT%20collection:g4video-web&;sort=-publicdate
